Marie Casper Memorial Ladies Day at the Range

Marie Casper Memorial Ladies Day on the Range

September 16, 2023

Every year the Erie County Conservation League hosts a ladies day at the range.  The event was originally created by one of our long time members, Marie Casper.  The event, now named to honor her accomplishments and contributions,  introduces female club members and non-members to different shooting disciplines (pistol, rifle, shotgun and archery).

If you are new to shooting, this day is for you.  If you are an accomplished handgun shooter but want to try out rifles, shotguns or archery, this day is for you.   The cost to attend is a dish to share at lunch.   If you have eye and ear protection we ask that you bring it.   We can provide loaners if needed.  Dress according to the weather conditions.

We have room for 50 ladies.  Ages 14-17 must have a liability release signed by a parent at registration who must accompany the youth.  The day will start in the club house for registration and a safety briefing.  Range time will last approximately 4 hours.  We will return to the club house for lunch.   All participants will receive a raffle ticket when they sign in to win an item related to shooting sports.

This year we plan to hold a special fundraising raffle to support ovarian cancer research.

The event registration package will be available for download on this page  (the link is beneath this paragraph).  Complete page 2 & 3 of the package, rename the file and save it to your computer.  Email the saved file to the address below.  Date and time of arrival in the email inbox will determine the first 50 participants.  Walk-ins will only be taken if there are less than 50 pre-registered participants or if there are no shows.
